In 1988 the company started with the staff consisting of two employees who were busy operating a small production line of TV decoder circuits inclusive of installation. In 1990 the company was renamed ARAY CO LTD and now it expanded its operation to trading of electronic equipment spare parts, consumer electronics and home appliances. In the same year the company rented its first showroom in Yerevan city at Azatutyan str., which later became its own. In 1996 ARAY CO LTD opened a second showroom in Yerevan city on Komitas ave., simultaneously establishing a Service Center at Azatutyan str..
From 1996 to 1998 the permanent representative of the company changed residence to Dubai (UAE), for arranging shipments to Armenia. In January 1998 ARAY TRADING CO LLC was established in Dubai. The company signed agreements with major brands on dealership, distributorship and exporting their electronic and home appliances to CIS countries, Africa and Europe.
Also ARAY GULF, the branch of ARAY CO LTD, was established in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai (UAE) with large warehousing facilities and office. In 2002 the 3-rd showroom was opened in the center of Yerevan city, on Vardananc ave. The 4-th showroom, largest in Armenia, was opened in the center of Yerevan city, on Amiryan ave at the end of 2002. The launch of products with “ARAY” trademark was one of the major successful steps in the history of ARAY company.
